Overview
Football at UEL
High performance football at UEL is one that the University is extremely proud of. The programme attracts men and women who truly are at the top of their game. Both programmes have attracted former and current professional players.
The unprecedented rise of the men’s football 1st team, following 7 successive promotions, is one that is truly remarkable and unmatched by any other University programme. Now consistently pushing for promotion from BUCS Tier 1 to the premier both teams will be in the premier division in the coming years.
The opportunity for players to combine studying and playing for an external club is one that has been taken advantage of by a number of former academy players in the men’s ranks. Whilst current Crystal Palace player, Chloe Bur is a prime example of the calibre of the current women’s team.
The delivery of the programme allows those who wish to progress in football the chance to gain valuable experience at university and club level as they look to develop their footballing careers. Partnerships with teams such as West Ham Ladies provide fantastic opportunities to progress as a player.

London
London may be steeped in history but it’s also a rapidly changing city at the cutting edge of business, science and art.
We are the world’s No 1 city for foreign companies expanding their businesses, and we have three times more European multinational headquarters than any other European city. It means there are rich opportunities for work placements and internships.
London is a city that offers something for everyone – iconic buildings and monuments, world-renowned galleries and museums, famous sports venues and theatres, well-known shopping districts and a vast choice of bars and restaurants catering for all tastes and budgets.
All this will be right on your doorstep if you study at the University of East London. Central London is less than half an hour away from our two campuses by public transport – or just seven minutes if you travel by high-speed rail from Stratford.

Since I've been here I feel stronger, faster and more explosive, thanks to the good service from the UEL medical team. It's also been amazing having the other inspirational top class athletes from a variety of sports to motivate me."
