Fees and funding

Learn all you need to know about study fees and funding options as a UK postgraduate student.

A smart and affordable investment in your future

Studying for a postgraduate degree is an investment in your future - worth an extra £200,000 in lifetime earnings compared to graduates.

The knowledge, skills and experience you gain will help you stand out in the highly competitive graduate jobs market, launching you on your career path or taking your existing career in a new direction.

We appreciate that finance is likely to be one of your key considerations in choosing to study for a postgraduate qualification.

It's only natural to wonder how you will pay your tuition fees, living expenses and other costs associated with studying at university.

Tuition fees

Tuition fees vary from course to course, so to find out what tuition fees you will be charged you need to look at the relevant course page for the course you're interested in.

Full-time courses are generally charged by the year, and there is a separate charging structure for international students.

You may want to read our tuition fees policy  and fee status assessment for more information.

Alternatively, you could be eligible for the postgraduate loan from Student Finance England.

We also offer an alumni discount for those  who studied an undergraduate course with us.  If you progress directly with no gap year, you may receive a discount of up to 25 per cent; alternatively, you will receive a 10 per cent discount.
