Studying computer science means studying the technology that makes the modern world run. Our staff are leading researchers who push the boundaries of what’s possible across a wide variety of specialist subjects – including software engineering, AI, information security and data analytics.
Plus, we're one of the UK’s top-rated Schools of Computer Science and Digital Technology (NSS, CUG 2020)
Our computer science students are encouraged to apply their skills to practical problems, meaning you’ll get hands-on experience with software development, web and mobile application development, network security and AI, and more. This includes a 70-hour work placement and a solid grounding in the ethical and professional issues of modern computer science.
As a graduate from the University of East London, you'll have a solid understanding of the main disciplines that fall under the computer science banner. Plus, our status as a Microsoft IT and CompTIA Academy means your degree will be well respected within the IT sector and further afield.
