The foundation year will prepare your academic skills and understanding of social sciences allowing you to progress onto one of seven different social science undergraduate degree programmes at UEL. 

This course makes higher education truly accessible for people who do not have traditional qualifications or who did not achieve their potential in their school or college assessments.

We'll give you the experience of working with children in East London, one of UK's most diverse local authorities in England. It's the perfect place to study Early Childhood education.

Our Foundation Year programmes are perfect if you want to change your direction of study or did not achieve the required grades at school of college for your chosen course or are a mature student returning to education after a break.

BA (Hons) Criminology and Criminal Justice with pathway in Cyber Criminology

The course focuses upon crime and justice with a specialism in cyber crime, considering the impact of this environment from a criminological and socio-legal perspective in a national and international context. The course provides an insight into current cyber debates focusing on emerging research and professional practice.

This course is about engaging with issues such as mental health, social care, racism, psychotherapies, class, gender, youth, and ageing.

By the end of the degree you will have gained the same qualification as those obtaining direct entry to BA (Hons) courses but you'll take one year longer to complete your studies. 

Past successful students have also moved onto other degree programmes both at UEL and at other universities throughout the UK.
