OVERVIEW
In addition to my substantial industry experience, I have contributed to the realm of software engineering. I played a pivotal role in the successful completion of an agile project involving SAP implementation, showcasing my adaptability and proficiency in diverse domains. Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a specialisation in Power from the esteemed National Power Training Institute, India, and a Distinction in MBA Fintech from the University of East London, my academic foundation is robust. My passion for teaching, research, and continuous learning has led me to pursue a career in academia, where I aim to inspire the next generation of professionals. Beyond academia, my interests extend to the stock market, and Bloomberg, and I find joy in playing cricket and exploring the world of philately. This multifaceted background defines me as an all-rounder with a commitment to excellence in both industry and academia.
My professional journey extends beyond the confines of traditional roles, encompassing invaluable experiences in both business simulation and the actual business environment. This dual exposure has uniquely positioned me to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application, ensuring that the insights shared in the classroom resonate with real-world challenges. Stepping into the dynamic arena of business simulations has not only refined my strategic thinking but has also deepened my understanding of the intricate interplay between theoretical models and on-the-ground complexities. This hands-on engagement has been instrumental in honing my ability to nurture analytical skills and decision-making acumen among students, preparing them for the dynamic landscape they will encounter in their professional journeys.
In addition to my roles within the energy sector, my foray into software engineering has bestowed upon me a technological acumen that extends beyond routine applications. Leading a successful agile project for SAP implementation was not merely about code and integration; it was a strategic endeavour to enhance operational efficiency and equip the organization to adapt to technological advancements. This experience has fueled my belief in the symbiotic relationship between technology and industry, and I aim to instil this perspective in my students, preparing them for the evolving demands of the energy sector.
My academic foundation exemplifies my commitment to continuous learning. As I transition into academia, my goal is to create an inclusive learning environment that not only imparts knowledge but also encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
Furthermore, my interests extend beyond the professional and academic spheres, encompassing a keen fascination for the stock market, a commitment to staying informed about global economic shifts through platforms like Bloomberg, and a passion for the camaraderie and strategy inherent in the game of cricket. Embracing philately as a hobby reflects not only a personal affinity for history and culture but also serves as a metaphor for the interconnectedness of diverse perspectives, an ethos I aim to foster in the educational realm. In summary, my professional journey, enriched by diverse experiences and a commitment to continuous learning, positions me as an academic professional ready to inspire and equip the next generation. My multifaceted background, merging industry expertise, technological proficiency, and a passion for holistic education, underscores my dedication to preparing students not just for the challenges of the energy sector but for the broader complexities of the global professional landscape.
