Scholarships for North American students

Academic Excellence Scholarship

The Academic Excellence Scholarship supports undergraduate students who perform well academically from start to end of their studies. The scholarships are open to all full time international fee paying students on undergraduate taught programmes. UEL’s vision in founding the Scholarship is to develop a community of stellar students. 

We use three key criteria in selecting scholars:

1. Intellect
2. Academic Merit
3. Good attendance

Amount: £3000

Remember: You must have filled out an application to study at UEL and have received a conditional or unconditional offer prior to applying for the scholarship (we will ask for your UEL application reference number – this is 7 digits long).

All recipients will receive an updated Letter of Acceptance with the awarded scholarship.

Placement Scholarship

The Placement Scholarship supports undergraduate students keen to pursue internships or paid placements within industry at the University of East London. The scholarships are open to all full time international fee paying students on undergraduate taught programmes. UEL’s vision in founding the Scholarship is to develop a community of highly employable students. 

We use three key criteria in selecting scholars:

1. Placement or internship with a minimum of a 1 month duration 
2. References from the placement reflecting good performance
3. A personal statement highlighting how your experience relates to your career motivations

Amount: £1000

Remember: You must have filled out an application to study at UEL and have received a conditional or unconditional offer prior to applying for the scholarship (we will ask for your UEL application reference number – this is 7 digits long).
