Exam and assessment arrangements

Hero Carousel

UEL Clearing Image 2017

Examination adjustments may be part of your support arrangements. Find out below how this can be arranged.

If you have registered with the Disability & Dyslexia Team  and have provided the required documentation, you will have a Teaching and Learning Support Requirements form set up for you. Examination adjustments may be part of your support arrangements. Once in place, these adjustments will stand for the duration of your programme, unless they are for a temporary condition or are altered due to a change in your condition.

Deadline for accessing exam adjustments

You will need to register for your support arrangements with the Disability and Dyslexia Team before the termly exam deadline which is week seven of each term. For Semester One the deadline will usually be within the first two weeks of November. Please contact the Disability and Dyslexia team on ddac@uel.ac.uk for exact dates for each term.  After this deadline has passed, we are not able to guarantee that you can access exam arrangements for assessments for that term.

If you require examination adjustments, please make an appointment with the Disability and Dyslexia Team as soon as possible. You will need to provide diagnostic evidence of any diagnosis or conditions.

To avoid missing the deadline we encourage you to register with the Disability and Dyslexia Team.

For students who require a reader or scribe for exams, we are encouraging the use of assistive technology for this. If you have any queries about this, please contact the Disability and Dyslexia Team.

Changes in your circumstances or condition

If you need to review or change your exam arrangements, please contact the Disability and Dyslexia Team before the end of Week seven of term.

Please note that you may need to provide additional evidence in support of any request to put in place additional examination arrangements.  Please book an appointment with the Disability and Dyslexia Team as soon as you are aware that your needs have changed.

Contact us

You can book an appointment by contacting The Hub on 0208 223 4444 or by  emailing the team on ddac@uel.ac.uk and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
