I am a mindful character in my own film who wants to express her vision and ideas through film and photography, always willing to learn more about art, people, and life. I strongly believe that this project will put me in touch with interesting people that I could create art together in the future or making beautiful friendships.

Esmond Yao
Media Production, 2nd year
My name is Esmond. I am a Media Production student, studying at the University of East London. One of my main interests and passions is film and cinematography. I love capturing shots that are unique and aesthetically pleasing and I believe images can tell amazing stories. I also have a passion for writing creatively as well as in a more journalistic way. The After Dark festival was an interesting project for me because of how creative and exciting it looks. It’s always a pleasure to take part in something that is so visually interesting and engaging, that’s why I was so keen to be a part of this festival.
