Funding amount: Full Tuition fee funding for UK students for three years and £1000 for a fourth year to cover the writing up year; International students to receive a fee discount to the value of the UK tuition fee (which is £5,580 for 22/23 academic year) for the duration of three years and a £1000 for the fourth year.

About the Studentship
The RDSBL's distinctiveness in research and scholarship comes from its applied nature, and a focus on real-world, current issues for organisations and society. Prospective students will be based in the one of the five research centres in the school and working on specific research areas as detailed below:
Centre for the Study of States, Markets and People (STAMP)
- The Crisis of neo-liberal Globalisation and the Global (dis)Order
- Economic growth and development; welfare economics
- Green and Ethical Finance/ Carbon Accounting
- Energy governance and security, international political economy of oil and gas.
- The changing world of employment, and workplace environment (Gig economy)
Centre of Innovation, Management and Enterprise (CIME)
- Impact of digital HRM platforms, integrated AI-decision making for assessing leadership potential
- Digital human resource management, employee behaviour, and workplace technology
- Islamic Tourism / Islamic Hospitality/migration and tourism/ sustainable development in tourism/urban/community-based tourism/political issues in tourism, diasporas
- Women leadership and social inclusion in sports/ Sport Development, Soft Power and Sport Events
- Digital marketing and consumer behaviour
Centre of Fintech
- The regulatory framework for financial Decentralised Autonomous Organisations (DAOs)
- The global regulation of crypto-assets and the role of states/The regulation of the custody of crypto-assets
- Legal dimensions of Central Bank Digital Currency adoption in emerging and frontier markets/Legal and regulatory dimensions of financial services in the metaverse.
- Utilising new and emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods to study research questions on Financial Technology
Noon Centre of Equality and Diversity
- Land, Property and Housing rights
- Gender equality practice, Community empowerment and the UN Sustainable Development Goals
- Middle East and Islamic law and finance
- Human Rights and development
- Local partnerships for community health and wellbeing, inclusive economy and sustainable employment
Centre on Justice, Law and Society (CJLS)
- Migration, asylum and borders law
- International law, including environmental law and economic law, and the role of law in socio-economic change
- International/EU competition law and energy law
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must have at least 2.1 degree in business or law or cognate area, and a master's degree in a relevant field. For international students a recognised English language qualification is required. IELTS score of 7.0 overall, or equivalent.
