Royal Docks School of Business and Law PhD Fee Scholarships

PhD Scholarships

Qualification type: MPhil/PhD

Location: London

Funding amount: Full Tuition fee funding for UK students for three years and £1000 for a fourth year to cover the writing up year; International students to receive a fee discount to the value of the UK tuition fee (which is £5,580 for 22/23 academic year) for the duration of three years and a £1000 for the fourth year.

Hours: Full time

Funding for: UK and International Students Placed on: 15 June 2022

Closes: 31 July 2022

Start date of this studentship is 1 October 2022

About the Studentship

The RDSBL's distinctiveness in research and scholarship comes from its applied nature, and a focus on real-world, current issues for organisations and society. Prospective students will be based in the one of the five research centres in the school and working on specific research areas as detailed below:

Centre on Justice, Law and Society (CJLS)

  • Migration, asylum and borders law
  • International law, including environmental law and economic law, and the role of law in socio-economic change
  • International/EU competition law and energy law

Eligibility criteria

Applicants must have at least 2.1 degree in business or law or cognate area, and a master's degree in a relevant field. For international students a recognised English language qualification is required. IELTS score of 7.0 overall, or equivalent.
