The University of East London's Dekan Apajee recently joined forces with Big Ideas to support more than 4,000 students from 74 schools across London write a letter to the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, sharing their hopes for a post-Covid city.

Cultural Engines Research Group (CERG)
The Cultural Engines Research Group (CERG) is led by highly esteemed researchers including Dr. Andrew Branch, a Senior Lecturer in Media and Communication. Founded alongside Dr Tony Sampson and Mr GIles Tofield, the CERG focuses on community outreach to tackle local issues and bring about positive change in areas such as youth safety, heritage, food cultures, and local community wealth building.
Moving Image Studio
Our Moving Image Studio is a premier platform for UK-based artists, filmmakers, scholars, and organisations working in the moving image. Professor Valentina Vitali, Director of the Moving Image Studio, received funding from the British Academy for research which resulted in the one of the first academic publications of academic publications which documents the Hindi film industry, a previously neglected area of film scholarship.
