Path to Zero Carbon Programme
Five days between 30 April and 9 May 2024
Participants will take part in six interactive online workshops which include presentations, discussions, and networking to support businesses, charities, and other organisations in their path to zero carbon.
Each two hour session will provide organisations with the tools to:
- Understand your organisation's carbon emissions and learn how to monitor them
- Write a zero-carbon policy and draft an action plan
- Develop a strategic approach
- Get buy in from internal staff, customers, and other stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to apply for potential funding to reduce your carbon emissions
The Sustainability Research Institute (SRI)
Established in 2001, the SRI was one of the first dedicated sustainability research institutes in the UK and we have since built an excellent international reputation by applying our groundbreaking research and development in the real world.
Key details of the programme
- The programme will take place over 5 days between 30 April and 9 May 2024, from 10AM-12PM.
- All applicants for the programme must be able to commit to attend all sessions.
- Each session is delivered online.
The main criteria for organisations to apply to join the programme is:
- Be based in the London Borough of Newham.
- Employ less than 250 staff.
- Each applicant must have access to a PC, laptop, or tablet, and the Internet.
Upon successful completion of the programme, all learners will receive an official University of East London certificate.
