I'm currently based in Gurugram, where I live with my wife, our young son, and my parents. This close-knit family setup has been my foundation, ever since growing up in a nuclear family in Delhi. My father, a retired aviation industry professional, my mother, a homemaker, and my wife, a special educator, have always been my pillars of support.
The education system in the UK was a revelation. Back home, I was used to closed book exams, but here, the open book exams and practical coursework aligned closely with the industry's requirements. This practical approach was enhanced by the frequent guest lectures from industry professionals, which made the learning process both relevant and interesting.
During my last semester at UEL, my dissertation project opened doors for me in unexpected ways. I collaborated with a company back in India, published my papers, and secured my degree as well as full-time employment upon graduation.
While studying, I took full advantage of the permission to work, engaging in roles that the university's career service helped me secure. This early exposure to the working world was invaluable.
I have worked on some exciting projects since those first experiences. My first job involved working on digital forensic products. We even won a government tender to supply law enforcement agencies, a project where I had to demonstrate the product and train personnel, stepping in due to a lack of manpower in the department.
Now, as a sought-after expert in my field, I work with 3rd Eye Techno Solutions Private Limited, a company that highlights learning and skill development. The professional environment here is dynamic, constantly pushing me to adapt and grow.
Reflecting on my time in London, I'm filled with fond memories, particularly of the Docklands Light Railways (DLR), which was quite a novelty compared to India's transport systems of the time. The city's excellent transportation, its green spaces, and the relatively uncrowded environment made a lasting impression.
London's diverse population provided a rich tapestry of interactions for me, and I especially cherished playing cricket—a sport that brought together people from various countries, creating friendships that have stood the test of time – I am in touch with some of those people even now.
Throughout my life, each experience has contributed to my personal and professional growth, shaping me into who I am today. My degree ensured I became an asset with lots of companies now looking for experts like me. Whether it was adapting to a new country's educational style or entering the competitive field of digital forensics, each step has been a building block in my ongoing journey.
