Why did you choose to study at UEL?
At the time UEL was one of the few universities with a Music Industry degree. The lecturers in that course were all experienced music industry executives, which was very appealing to my younger self.
What is your one special memory of your time at UEL?
The most special memory I have is when I realised that one of my classmates was the son of one of my favourite record producers! An unforgettable moment.
What have you done since graduating from UEL?
I went on to work in the music industry and was the Promotions Manager for one of the biggest specialist music labels in the world. I left the label 5 years later and started my own company.
What is your current job role? And what does it involve?
I am now the director of my company. I specialise in radio plugging and product management, for various bands and a world-leading label.
How did UEL help you get to where you are now?
I got valuable experience and advice from all my teachers at UEL, which has helped me to move through the industry and to get to the position that I am.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Just be patient. It takes time to achieve things, so just be patient and keep working towards your goals without worrying about it too much.
What advice would you give to UEL current students preparing to graduate?
Be kind to yourself and be ready to work hard for what you want. It takes time and effort, but it's not impossible!
Tell us something about yourself that most people don't know:
Since living in New Orleans I became a fan of the New Orleans Saints and American Football. I don't think I'd ever get to know the game, if I hadn't studied there.
If you were to do it all again, would you still choose UEL?
Yes, UEL has given me brilliant opportunities and I got to meet some amazing people through it.
