Why did you choose to study at UEL?
I heard many good things about this university through friends and family especially the course I ended up studying.
What is your one special memory of your time at UEL?
Simply going to the library with friends and staying overnight in the library, working hard to meet deadlines. It’s a shame me and Naima couldn’t do this towards our last term due to COVID lockdown.
What have you done since graduating from UEL?
I have been offered to work for a residential care company for children. So I’m excited about starting that as it links to the field I studied in.
What is your current job role? And what does it involve?
Residential child worker. Looking after children, making sure that I’m putting their needs and safety first.
How did UEL help you get to where you are now?
I got a degree! Which shows experience and understanding in the field I work in particularly the subjects we were taught.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Be more confident, enjoy yourself, always stay proud of what you have accomplished and never look at other people because you will get there eventually.
What advice would you give to UEL current students preparing to graduate?
Work hard and don’t stress yourselves out and most importantly you will make it.
Tell us something about yourself that most people don’t know:
Work hard and don’t stress yourselves out and most importantly you will make it.
If you were to do it all again, would you still choose UEL?
Yes! I would definitely go back, maybe to do my masters.
