I have been working at UEL since 2015 and I have established the Chemistry BSc (Hons) programmes. I am also Director of Medicinal Chemistry of the UEL anti-microbial company, Oppilotech. Previously, I had a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry and discovered three clinical candidates.
FUNDING
- 2017: Received funding from CARB-X to undertake early screening against a novel target in the outer envelope of gram-negative bacteria
- 2015: Received Wellcome Trust Pathfinder Award to development a novel wall teichoic acid inhibitor for treatment of bacterial infections
