OVERVIEW
I am an ardent Registered Nurse with six years experience in different nursing specialties. I have worked in diverse nursing areas including acute medical and surgical nursing, hospice, and palliative care, as well as nursing education and research.
RESEARCH AND IMPACT
I have engaged in various research bordering around women’s health, diabetes, wound care, infection prevention and control, cancer prevention, genetics, and genomic information as well as health promotion.
I have published articles in peer reviewed journals and have collaborated with academics to bring about an increase in health literacy and health behaviour change among vulnerable populations in a developing country.
My most recent research bordered around nursing students use of electronic health records in a developing country. I am currently working on factors around domestic violence in undergraduate nursing students.
