Dr Nabeela Berardinelli is a Lecturer in the Department of Engineering & Computing.
OVERVIEW
Nabeela is an experienced lecturer and researcher who joined UEL in 2021. Prior to that, she was a lecturer at Arden University.
CURRENT RESEARCH
Nabeela has over ten years' experience in research including sentiment analysis and text mining fields. She has published 13 papers in peer reviewed journals and conferences. She achieved a PhD in Computing and a MSc and BSc in Software Engineering. As for her work and research experience, she has worked at several universities (University of Portsmouth, Qatar University, and Edge Hill University) on projects such as sentiment analysis on FIFA2020 and Typhon (Euro Horizon 2020). She also has worked as a data analyst skills coach for apprentices in various domains including NHS, Asda and Santander.
Her research interests include: data mining and knowledge discovery – supervised and unsupervised learning machine, sentiment analysis, technology enhanced learning, big data, data visualisation, and social media analysis.

She has experience in teaching students at different levels and has contributed to the following modules:

She will also be module leader for Digital Learning Fundamentals.
