Hannah Fox is the programme leader for the Master of Arts in Leadership in Education. She is a Senior Lecturer and teaches on the MA Leadership in Education programme and MA Education programme. She has a background in secondary school teaching and is passionate about empowering teachers. Her research interests are teaching agency and autonomy and teaching identity.

Overview
Hannah holds a Masters degree in Education and has taught in multiple higher education settings, including within teacher training. Hannah currently leads modules and teaches across the MA Leadership in Education and MA in Education where she also supervises dissertations at Masters level. Prior to working in HE, Hannah worked for 10 years teaching English in secondary schools and has held leadership roles in English teaching, teacher training and professional development.
She is committed to ensuring that her research, and work within research institutions, tie theory to practice so that her work can be part of helping education systems to continue to improve and move forwards. Alongside her post as Senior Lecturer and Programme Lead at UEL, Hannah is an External Examiner for LSJS, peer reviews articles for the Chartered College of Education and is a member of multiple research organisations such as the British Educational Research Association (BERA).
