I am currently working as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) in general practice / primary care alongside my role as programme lead for ACP at UEL. My primary registration is as a Clinical Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
Areas Of Interest
- Clinical Education
- Clinical Simulation
- Advanced Clinical Practice
OVERVIEW
I joined UEL in 2023 having previously taught at the Universities of Brighton, Portsmouth and Sussex over an 18-year period. I gained my PhD in clinical simulation, PGCE and fellowship of the HEA while teaching. At UEL my role is to develop and deliver a Master's degree in Advanced Clinical Practice for healthcare professionals of a wide range of disciplines. Most recently I have been working as an independent prescriber in primary care having gained my MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.
My base profession is clinical pharmacy, but the ACP role has allowed me to expand my clinical role significantly, and my current role is more akin to an advanced nurse practitioner in general practice.
