Project Ubuntu - run by Catalysts in Communities
Project Ubuntu is all about connecting with others, discovering yourself, and making a difference.
This two-week programme, run by Catalysts in Communities, offers young people aged 17-19 a chance to explore how culture, creativity and collaboration can play a crucial part in tackling some of the most challenging issues facing society.
Ubuntu is an ancient African word meaning 'humanity to others'. It is often described as reminding us that 'I am what I am because of who we all are', and this will be the guiding principle of the programme.
Please note: The Cultural Producers Programme has an age range of 18-30, so participants on Project Ubuntu are not necessarily expected to apply for the Cultural Producers Programme 2024. However, this workshop will help potential future participants understand the challenges and rewards of working in the creative sector - and they will be very welcome to apply for future cohorts in 2025 and 2026.
Closing date for applications: 3 August 2024
