January starts
Our January courses
At UEL we offer a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses starting in January. Many of our part-time, online and distance learning courses also feature January intakes.
While most university courses start in September, we offer January intakes to give you the chance to study exactly the same course on a different timescale. You'll start in January but catch-up with your classmates for the start of the second year, finishing the degree at the same time as September starters. This means that you'll be studying with us throughout the summer period.
It's a great opportunity if you've missed the September deadline or if you want to study a degree in a shorter time.

Pathway Programmes at the International Study Centre
If you are an international student, you may not automatically be eligible for your chosen degree due to differences between UK qualifications, and those from your home country. However, we are here to help you reach your degree aspirations. We have a number of study options that will help you to enter your chosen undergraduate and postgraduate degree, with entry points at both January and September.
The University of East London partners with Malvern International to offer a fully embedded on-campus International Study Centre. The programmes offered by Malvern International provide progression to a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the university.
To find out more, visit Malvern House Pathway Programmes.
Malvern House also offer an online Pre-Sessional English programme (PSE) course designed for international students who need to acquire the level of English language skills required to study at the University of East London.
