SportsDock

Our Docklands campus is home to our £21 million sports facility, SportsDock. It is one of London’s largest indoor sports venues. This world class sports centre is available to students, staff, the local community, and national and international organisations.

As a testament to the quality of the centre, SportsDock was the official high performance training headquarters for Team USA, hosting them for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

SportsDock features:

  • two multi-purpose indoor sports arenas
  • 120-piece fitness centre
  • fully equipped strength and conditioning room
  • dance and aerobics studios
  • sports therapy clinic
  • conferencing and meeting rooms, lecture theatres and teaching rooms
  • outdoor pitches

London Aquatics Centre

Home of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the London Aquatics Centre is a world-class swimming facility.

There are three swimming pools; a 50 metre competition pool, a 50 metre training pool, and a diving pool with platforms at 1m, 3m, 5m, 7.5m and 10m.  The London Aquatics Centre also provides a state-of-the-art gym and a dry diving facility for athletes of all levels. The venue holds up to 2,800 spectators at a time.

The University of East London manages the London Aquatics Centre Performance Programme (LACPP), the high performance swimming programme based at the London Aquatics Centre.

This stunning venue is located in East London, next to the Westfield Stratford shopping centre and easily accessible by public transport from Stratford Rail Station.

Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre

Our Hockey and Tennis teams both use the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

UEL's Hockey players train and compete weekly on one of the two water based astro pitches at Lee Valley. 

With six outdoor and four indoor courts, tennis players have great opportunities to improve their game.
