The following deadlines are for September 2017 intake. Deadline dates for January 2018 entry will be released shortly.

For applicants outside the UK

If you have not studied in the UK before or had a UK visa, you can submit your application up until 26th July 2017.

Some applicants may have additional conditions to meet, such as providing evidence of academic or English Language qualifications or evidence of having left the UK within a certain period. Any conditions and how to provide these documents would be outlined in your conditional offer letter. If you are given an unconditional offer you do not need to worry about this deadline.

All applicants are required to pay part of their tuition fee prior to being issued with a CAS or proceeding to enrolment. This can take 5 working days to clear. If you are paying by credit card over the phone, you can do this up until the 11th August 2017. When you have made the payment you will need to provide details about this and firmly accept your offer by completing the Student Reply Form here.

Most applicants are required to have the documents that they are planning to use as evidence of maintenance for their tier 4 application checked by our International Student Advice (ISA) team. If there are any problems with your documents and they do not meet the Tier 4 requirements, the ISA team will advise you on any changes that are needed and what your options are. UKVI are very strict about financial documents, so when you go to your bank or sponsor to request the documents it is helpful to have a copy of the Tier 4 Policy guidance with you- in particular paragraph 198, so that you can ensure you're getting the documents you need the first time.

We strongly advise you to apply for your visa as soon as possible after receiving your CAS, with support from our International Student Advice Team. In addition to checking your maintenance documents, the university will conduct pre-CAS interviews to ensure that you are eligible for a Tier 4 visa. These interviews are similar to the credibility interviews that will be conducted by UKVI when you apply for your visa. You can find out more about this here.
