2022 August Alumni of the Month
Why did you choose to study at UEL?
I chose to study at UEL, because a previous classmate of mine, whom I did an access course with was already doing her second year at UEL. She told me how influential it really was. I love UEL.
What is your one special memory of your time at UEL?
It was discovering creative writing in my second year. I was very average in my first and second year but discovering creative writing in the second year made all the difference for me. Game changer.
What have you done since graduating from UEL?
I am the founder of Gospelfaith television UK. I am the writer of eight different gospel and cultural books. I have preached and taught all over the world. Teacher of divine rescue organisations.
What is your current job role? And what does it involve?
I am a global pastor, a preacher and motivational speaker. I am a pastor and preacher of the Good News. My job role consists of writing gospel and cultural books. I make documentaries, and sermons.
How did UEL help you get to where you are now?
UEL gave me much confidence and belief in myself as an individual. I owe it all to my UEL lecturers who were consistently ensuring that I produced articulate work. UEL gave me some perseverance skills.
What advice would you give your younger self?
Be more prepared before you start the first year. I had many difficulties with essay structuring. Maybe doing a full time A level course, then doing an access course. Research is very important.
What advice would you give to UEL current students preparing to graduate?
They must perfect their academic skills, because the real world is absolutely, and totally different. Try to become independent also, because sooner, you might want to be self-employed.
Tell us something about yourself that most people don't know:
I am very hard working and believe in nothing less than success. Failure is not an option for me. I love UEL, and always advertise or promote UEL in the best way that I can. I was a footballer/coach.
If you were to do it all again, would you still choose UEL?
I will always choose UEL, because I tasted university life in other universities, and it just was not the same. UEL gave me a sense of belonging. I have recommended the University to so many college students.
