SportsDock On March 12th SportsDock opened its doors to UEL students, staff and the local community. The £21 million state-of-the-art sports facility offers affordable and flexible membership prices to all.

The third annual University of East London Sports Awards will take place on May 17th in West Ham UTD Football Club.
The aim of the UELSports Awards Ceremony is to recognise and reward the effort and achievement of UELSports members and associated partners. UEL wishes to acknowledge and celebrate the successes of our sports men, women, clubs and teams both on and off the field of play. Salary in the range £20,870 to £23,007 per annum incl. pro rata Part time (12 hours per week) and fixed-term for two years.
The University of East London is a dynamic and rapidly expanding university at the heart of Europe's largest regeneration area and immediately adjacent to the site of the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics Games.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and competitive graduate to provide tennis expertise as part of our expanding sporting offer to students, staff and the wider community. This is a unique opportunity to combine postgraduate study and tennis coaching development at an institution which is rapidly developing in sports.
This post provides an opportunity for a graduate to combine practical tennis coaching and development in a higher education setting with part-time study for a higher degree. Your primary responsibilities will include delivery of a year-round tennis programme to students and staff, the development of tennis opportunities for all players of all standards and to provide direction and guidance to the UELSports tennis club.
Educated to degree level, you will be a current LTA-licensed coach, with experience of coaching players at beginner and intermediate levels. An understanding of the principles of sports development is essential, as are excellent organisational, communication and IT skills. The successful candidate will also have a confirmed place on a part time post graduate degree course at UEL.
